Your “UBITName”, or username, is what you use to log in to a variety campus services such as MyUB and HUB (to register), UBmail and UB Learns, UBbox file sharing and storage, and software downloads such as MS Office.
Only if you are unable to enroll or work, do you need to activate your UBITName
Your UBITName is Accepted Internationally for Undergraduate Application or Transfer
1. Collect your UB information
- The last 4 digits of your Person Number: Can be found on the Undergraduate Admissions Applicant status page.i>This link opens in a new tab or window. For assistance with logging in, contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Your UBITName, and One Time Password: These will be sent to you in a letter. Call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions” title=”This link opens in a new tab or window. If you have any questions, please call 1-888-UBADMIT toll-free.
2. Follow the instructions to log into UBITName Manager
Log in to the UBITName Administrator
Step-by-step instructions for activation
- Your UBITName is required. Make sure that all letters are in lowercase
- Click Continue
- Make sure you check the “I am not a robot” CAPTCHA
- Click Continue
- Your three pieces of UB information are required.
- Your Person Number’s last four digits
- The month at the time of your birth in numbers (e.g. January is 01).
- Your unique password
*Note To activate again, you will need a new one Time Password if you forget to log in or disconnect during the UBITName activation process.
- Click Continue
- Select Please complete the security questions
- Set your security questions (three from UB, and one that you create) and then click Update
- Select Create a new password
- After reviewing the requirements for passwords, enter your new password in New Password.
- In the Confirm box, enter your new password.
- If the password requirements are unmet, your new password will be marked with an X.
- Click To Change Password
- To add or modify your password recovery contact information, click View Profile and Update Mobile Number and Personal Email Address if you lose your password. As instructed, enter your non-UB email address and cell number.
- Click Edit or add your non-UB email address and cell phone number
- After reviewing the requirements, enter your phone number into the cell number field. This includes area codes and country codes. The U.S. Country Code is 1.
- After you have read the non-UB requirements for email addresses, enter your non-UB email address into the non-UB field.
- Click Continue
- Click Submit on the Request Summary screen. All information will be immediately updated.
- Your UBITName will be activated once you reach the Request status screen. Now you are ready to take advantage of all the fantastic services UB has to offer.
- To log out, click Logout.
